We offer over forty eight years’ experience of the country house market across the south east particularly in both Kent and Sussex and have been finding houses for our clients for the past nineteen.
Being property search agents in the local area we know the best commuting routes, the hidden villages, the best schools – as well as knowing the key people in the main selling agencies.
We are well known ‘on the ground’ having established excellent contacts with all the leading estate agents in the area – and have a love of buildings and what makes them tick; we are probably the only professionally qualified independent property search agency in the area.

Elizabeth Mercer BA (Hons) MNAEA
From a background and degree in marketing, Liz joined Savills’ international department in the late 1990’s to take responsibility for residential developments across Europe and the West Indies.
Liz has co-ordinated searches across the south east and found houses for numerous clients – largely based on her exceptional understanding of her clients’ requirements and the close affinity she has built up with key people in the main selling agents across the area.

Colin Mackenzie FRICS FNAEA
Managing DirectorColin qualified in the early 1970’s, running offices in Sussex and Kent for Hamptons before taking over the helm of their London Country house department in the mid 1980’s; he now offers over 45 years’ experience of the country house and estates markets across the south of England.
It was the appeal of working to find clients their ideal house that led Colin to change direction in the late 1990’s and, following a spell with the buying team at Knight Frank, Colin and Elizabeth formed their own search consultancy in 2003.
Being totally independent gives us complete impartiality in making recommendations to clients, whether in the search process or in helping secure their purchase at best value.
